VectorWorks 12.5.2 List of Fixes & Improvements

Mac Loss of Data Problem Fixed as of 12.5.2
This release addresses several important problems which have been found and fixed since 12.5.1 was released earlier this year. Most importantly, it fixes a problem where files whose window is minimized or docked can be destroyed when saved with all data lost.

Other problems fixed as of 12.5.2 include:

• Layer pull down doesn't have a line separating sheet from design layers.
• Clay Paky Spotlight content files - Stage Zoom 1200 and Stage Color Body symbols contained failed solid subtractions.
• Problem with importing a DWG file with Japanese text.
• Export PDF with PDF Page object, and the PDF Page comes out the wrong size and position.
• Geometry problems with roof after turning on "Create Gable End Walls" option.
• Spell Check 'Learn' command fails to learn any words.
• Added support to alert users on an Intel Macintosh that the SketchUp Import plug-in can only be used on a PowerPC Macintosh.
• Chain dimensions placed on angle would break apart when constrained objects were moved.
• Zooming the document on Windows from the keyboard could leave the window looking pixellated.
• Section lines in elevation configuration could be displayed incorrectly.
• Worksheet can print with fonts and borders too big.
• Picture drawing crash on Mac with Quartz on.
• Polygons could draw incorrectly under Quartz.
• Worksheet - "Select Item" command not working on objects in wall if the wall is not on the active layer.
• Worksheets failed to print some accented characters and spaced Japanese text incorrectly.
• Japanese text spaced incorrectly under some situations.
• Workgroup referencing could crash with chain dimensions.
• Occasional workgroup reference crash.
• Wall area is miscalculated for some walls.
• Viewports saved with their caches could cause drawings to be larger than necessary.
• Some tools could crash when their mode was switched while drawing with the tool.
• Some object based symbols would not cut holes properly in walls.
• DWG import causes loss of DWG file.
• DWG import hangs with some files.
• DWG Export misplaces chain dimensions.
• PDF export on Mac requires user to be running with administrator priveliges.
• PDF export fails to correctly export text in certain fonts.
• PDF export - application will hang after exporting a non-JFIF-format JPEG to PDF on Mac.
• Batch export PDF disabled for education licenses.
• Shell objects could be broken when exporting to prior file versions.
• When running under Windows Vista, changing visibility in the Org Dialog causes cosmetic appearance issues.
• Large memory leak updating viewports.
• Ceiling Grid double click not working correctly.
• Using a case change command on selected text does not work.
