A NOTE FROM THE CEO |
||
|
Providing you with answers to your burning tech questions is one of our top priorities. We have two ways to make it easy for you to stay up-to-date on what’s happening with VectorWorks. The first is our user group meetings online using WebEx technology. These free 30-35 minute presentations are followed 15-minutes of live Q&A facilitated by various members of the Sales and Marketing team, including training and tech support. We began the online user group meetings in April and subjects have included Worksheets and Schedules; Viewports; DTM; and Communication Via DXF-DWG File Formats. Held the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 EDT, 6:00 CDT and the 4th Thursday at 7:00 MDT and 6:00 PDT, the online user group meetings are available for viewing live at your local user group meeting or as streaming video. These online meetings are a great tool for our user groups to use as a jumping off point for their own meetings and discussions, or to catch up on the latest technology using VectorWorks. Meetings are scheduled for every month except July, August and December. To participate or to get a password for the streaming video, contact Theresa Eckles at teckels@nemetschek.net. Our tech forum is equally cool when you opt for an RSS feed. Many of you who were using the user lists have switched over to this much more responsive, real time system of communication. The key features of the tech forum are the new expanded search tools, the ability to watch for posts on your favorite topics using RSS feed, and interactive topics. You can use an RSS feed software or your browser's RSS built-in viewing option. With RSS you can view new items of interest as they come up. Preview the first few lines of newly created topics in a RSS viewer and just click and read the posts you want to. And our users' message board/forum allows you to email the group or specific users. Threads of interest are also searchable in our archives. With over 9,000 users signed up to participate in our online forum, there is always new content and up-to-the-minute tech advice from our online community. We are always looking for ways to keep our user community in the loop with the best tech support. If you have a suggestion, question or tip to share, log in and become a part of the VectorWorks community. | ||
