Nemetschek North America Announces the Availability of the VectorWorks 11 Software Developer's Kit

Columbia, Maryland (June 3, 2004)— Nemetschek North America announced today the release of its VectorWorks 11 Software Developer's Kit (SDK).  The VectorWorks SDK is a C++ development environment in which VectorWorks users, resellers, and third-party software developers can create custom add-on solutions that expand VectorWorks' core CAD capabilities. It is available as a free download from the company's website.

"The VectorWorks SDK enables users to develop custom VectorWorks tools, menus, and commands. Users can develop solutions for their own use or for sale to other users," says Jeffrey Koppi, Manager of the VectorWorks Customization Group. "The SDK augments VectorWorks' internal scripting language and provides developers with a first-class development environment in which they can completely customize the program."

Some of the new features in the VectorWorks 11 SDK include new dialog box controls, viewports, better user interaction, custom data bar, context-sensitive help, and over 80 new SDK function calls available in VectorWorks 11.
