VectorWorks Spotlight 12.5 Donated to Behind the Scenes Raffle Winner at USITT in Support of Long Reach Long Riders and the ESTA Foundation Charitable Efforts

Columbia, Maryland (April 9, 2007)—Nemetschek North America announced today that it has donated VectorWorks Spotlight 12.5 to a winner of the Behind the Scenes raffle held at the 2007 USITT Conference. The Long Reach Long Riders and the ESTA Foundation raised a total of $17,800 for Behind the Scenes at the annual trade show for entertainment industry. Behind the Scenes, an ESTA Foundation initiative, provides grants to seriously ill or injured industry members that may be used for medical care and living expenses.

“We were thrilled by the level of support for Behind the Scenes at USITT this year,” says Rick Rudolph, Behind the Scenes committee chair. “Attendees clearly took to heart the concept of helping our own, and many commented that someone they knew had been assisted by a Behind the Scenes grant. The raffle raised $7,800, and we had two challenge grants from I. Weiss and Sapsis Rigging that raised our total to $17,800. Nemetschek North America has been a wonderfully generous supporter of Behind the Scenes since its inception, and with their help and that of all our other donors we will be able to help our colleagues for many years to come.”

“I’m excited to put VectorWorks Spotlight 12.5 to use, as, having worked with earlier versions of VectorWorks in the past and SoftPlot, I find VectorWorks to be much more robust,” says USITT raffle winner Jayson Adamsen, technical director, Rhino Staging. “It’s a very streamlined program, but it has lots of room to be creative. I work on 100-150 shows a year and do drafting for 30-50 of them, from drawings for electricians to client presentations, so I’m looking forward to taking advantage of the new 3D modeling and rendering technology I’ve heard about in VectorWorks Spotlight 12.5.”
