Q: What are the MINIMUM system requirements for ESP Vision?
A: On a PC, ESP Vision requires a 2.5 gig processor; 512 meg of RAM; a mouse with a middle button or scroll wheel; Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7; a fully DirectX 9.0 compatible video card with at least 256 megs of RAM supporting vertex shader version 3.0 or better and pixel shader version 3.0 or better. Ideal specifications would be 3.0 GHz processor, 2GB Ram and Video card with 512+ MB of VRAM. For the MAC, OSX 10.4, 10.5, or 10.6, 2.5 GHz processor and gaming level video card (NVIDIA 9500 serires or better or ATI Radeon 2600 series or better).
Q: Are the plugins available on both PC and Mac?
A: Yes, plugins for Vectorworks Spotlight are available for both operating systems. To download the plugins, click here.
Q: Does ESP Vision run on an Apple Mac?
A: Yes, Vision 3 MAC, released in December 2009 runs natively on the Mac OSX. (See system requirements above).
Q: What versions of Vectorworks Spotlight do you support?
A: ESP Vision models can now be created using Version 2009 and 2010 of Vectorworks Spotlight.
Q: I own Vectorworks, but do not have Spotlight... do I need it?
A: Yes, you need to have the Spotlight component of Vectorworks for the ESP Vision plugins to work properly. Furthermore, for texturing of your model, you will need Renderworks.
Q: Do I need a dongle to run ESP Vision?
A: Yes. When you purchase ESP Vision you will be sent a USB dongle that will unlock the purchased number of universes.
Q: How does the subscription work?
A: ESP Vision provides a subscription service for any Vision customers. The first 12 month's subscription is included in the purchase price. The subscription provides you with unlimitied access to the patch server. The patch server will allow you to get the latest version of library files, gobo files, and the latest builds of ESP Vision software, while your subscription is active. You subscription also gives you access to support via our online chat, email and telephone support. After the first 12 months, you can renew your subscription for the next 12 months at $150 per universe.
Q: Will I ever have to purchase an upgrade to the next version of ESP Vision?
A: No. If you maintain your subscription, you will always have access to the latest and greatest version of ESP Vision. You will never be asked to purchase new functionality as we improve the ESP Vision software.
Q: Is there a special price for existing Spotlight customers?
A: No.
