Intermediate Level Webinars:

Creating Sections & Elevations From a Model
Creating sections is a snap in VectorWorks. Using section viewport
technology, we'll show you how to quickly generate sections for interior
and exterior elevations with details and explore the powerful options
available to help you create custom graphic views within a section
cutting plane.

Construction Detail Drafting
Learn how to use VectorWorks to quickly generate construction details for all different types of designs. We'll explore the detail tool suite and see how these tools are used to create wall, roof, footing, and drainage details. VectorWorks Spotlight users will learn how to create lighting and truss details from a developed theater plan. VectorWorks Machine Design users will assimilate how to create a set of mechanical part details. In addition, you will discover how to apply 2D graphics quickly to interior and exterior elevations to add dramatic details.  We'll also demonstrate for you how the same set of 2D graphics details can be used to create construction, installation, and planting instructions.

Acquiring Database Information using Records and Worksheets
Learn how to use records, reports, and schedules to extract specific object-related information for use in a worksheet. You'll learn how to create records, how they are used to attach specific information to various types of drawing objects, and how to use the information to quickly create bills of materials, door schedules, room finish schedules, plant lists, take-offs, and cut lists.  We'll also examine how the built-in VectorWorks reporting capabilities can be modified so you get only the specific information you want in your worksheets.

Understanding and Analyzing a Site Model Using the DTM
Get the most out of VectorWorks by learning about the uses and best practices for site modeling using a digital terrain model (DTM). You'll see how to create a site model and make it error-proof. We'll also explore different types of site analysis methods, including slope elevation, and line of sight analysis, as well as example site model sections. Make a big impact with a little learning. You'll be surprised at how far this takes you.

Modifying a Site Model using DTM Technology
Learn how to use VectorWorks site planning tools to manipulate a site model through pads, fences, landscape and retaining walls, roads, and graders. In this course, we'll convert an existing model to a proposed model by modifying the current land form for a building structure. We'll create the grading plan, adding landscape walls and a drive way. Using the existing and proposed models, we'll explore how to get cut and fill volume calculations to determine the estimated amount of removed or added land. Then we'll work with an existing model to add a parking lot and adjust the model accordingly for proper water flow. Finally, we'll show you how VectorWorks texture beds can be used to quickly add materials to the site model land surfaces.
